Where's the line?

Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom, is a bill of rights guaranteeing Freedom of expression. Expression such as thought, belief, and opinions. It is said however, to be illegal to publicly incite hatred against people based on their colour, race, religion, ethnic origins, and sexual orientation, except where the statements made are true or are made in good faith.

"How far is too far," we all ask ourselves. Ann Coulter is her name. American conservative social and political commentator. On a Canadian-University Tour, Ann Coulter makes her visit at the University of Ottawa. Where she cancels her own speech, due to organizers predicting the situation was unsafe. Ms. Coulter has said, she has given more than 100 speaches in schools and this was the first time anything like this has ever happened.

"It is an absolute bush league, bottom of the barrel schools that you get the worst treatment and yet still I have never seen this before," remarked Coulter.

Ann Coulter was warned before hand to watch what she said. Who's to blame however? Ann Coulter has written 7 novels as well as many weekly newspaper columns. The University of Ottawa had to know what's coming. Ann Coulter speaks her opinion. Why is it that this women's speeches get so blown out of proportion due to her beliefs. University of Ottawa had a choice to decide weather or not they wanted her. If you have something against Ann Coulter, dont come. If you disagree with Ann Coulter, guess what? You can.
