" Your completely oblivious!"

"Weather is supposed to get better by Saturday, perfect for the wedding," recited Gord.

"Hello, are you even listening to me?" huffed Sara, "sometimes I have absolutely no idea what goes through that head of yours!"

"Hmmm?"

Sara fixed the wrinkles in her dress and began to adjust her seat. Maintaining a bland expression on her face, Sara spoke, "Gord, we have been sitting on this train for three hours now, and we haven't even said 5 words to each other."

"I just have nothing to say."

"Nothing to say!" anger grew inside Sara with each reply her husband gave her. She took a long breath in a presented a question she would of hoped she would never have to ask, "What's wrong with us Gord?"

Gord put down the morning paper and faced Sara. The patch of skin under his eyes had begun to sink in over the last few months, and he had become very tiredly looking. Gord slowly took off his glasses. "There's someone else."

Sara was no where near ready for such a reply. Her eyes teared up, and for the first time in her life she had nothing to say.

"Her name is Julie," George spoke without warning.

With in that moment Sara got up from her seat and spoke the last 4 words she would ever say to her husband, " I want a divorce."

HOLD YOUR HORSES, GEORGE!!!

"Well, whatta looker, you's some hott tamale." George murmured Curley's wifes way. George was on chore duty, putting all the horses back into the barn. Within one look of Curley's wife, George played out his night and began to presume what it could entail. Curley's wife began to speak, but quickly George cut her off, "you's lookin' as delicate as a flower, miss."

Curley's wife spoke with a grin on her face, "imma just a babe in the woods, George."

"A babe id put all my eggs in one basket for," George spoke with confidence. "I tell ya, if looks could kill."

Curley's wife made her way towards George as if everything was coming up roses. Her arms swayed at her side like she was as free as a bird. "This is one ol' funny farm, hiring someone from seventh heaven."

"Girl, im as handy as a pocket on a shirt." His hands reached for hers, "Were in deep water here, but my love for you is like a fat kid loves chocolate."

"You're making me as nervous as a cat on a tin roof!!"

"Baby, baby, baby dont jump to conclusions on me now."

"I guess your right if you cant beat em', join em'."

My Chey Senses Are Tingling!!!!

My name is Chey Gannon, superhuman.

It's a gift. It's a special gift. Between fighting crime, getting revenge on my arch enemies, living a dual existence, saving the world, and not to mention getting the guy in the end, I have time for my favorite of all powers. This power cant even compare to the others. This power isn't just an ability to show off my superior agility, this power can quickly and efficiently save the existence of planet earth. I am a teleporter. I am able to transport to anywhere at anytime, without anyone realizing I am gone. I have been from the past as well as the future. It is said that knowledge is power, in my case my power is knowledge. Granted things here on earth can change in the blink of an eye. Why things happen they way they do?
Take Al Gore for instance. Al Gore the 45Th Vice President of the United States from 1993-2001. A democratic party nominee, a business man, as well as a environmental activist. Al Gore's theory is based strictly on global warming. Using my teleport abilities I have fast forward to the future gaining knowledge of this proven problem. Al Gore was willing to step up and face this challenge as it is becoming increasingly a issue. I believe in the power of one, but I am no hogger. My power can create knowledge to those who are willing. My power can create life changing results. Another example of what great things my ability can create is country music. Country music developed in the 1900s, obviously a positive result to entertainment. I have taken great appreciation for transforming Carrie Underwood, Brooks and Dunn, Big and rich, and Brad Paisley's phenomenal talents.
My power will forever be a gift. It has not only showed me its wondrous aspects, but it has taught me to understand my own responsibilities. Hey, its not always easy being a superhuman.

Are the Bones Really that Lovely?

“My name was Salmon, like a fish; first name Susie. I was fourteen when I was murdered on December 6, 1973.” A story faced with universal human experiences never to be forgotten. The Lovely Bones, written by Alice Sebold, tells the phenomenal story based on a horrific murder of a teenage girl and the challenging obstacles faced afterwards. This novel portrays the point of view of Susie Salmon as she watches the world she once lived upon, up in what she now calls “her heaven.” This bestselling novel was quickly picked up by The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson as he turned literature into a humorous, suspenseful, adventure on the big screen!

What does heaven look like? Peter Jackson uncovers a picture of heaven as this imaginary place based on your very own dream world. This religious topic has become very controversial. Alice Sebold however, illustrates her vision of heaven through Susie’s eyes as almost boring. Susie feels helpless looking down to her old life on earth. The two contrasts really make it obvious that Jackson's film didnt want to portray or maybe understand the view point that Sebold concludes as heaven.

Peter Jackson's direction towards each character fit dead on! Mr. Harvey (Stanley Tucci), the murder of Susie Salmon played this suspensful character. The man gave off the appearence of an introverted man, a quiet yet helpless neighbor, nothing of unordinary. When it came to his big scene, the murder, Mr. Harvey's qualities matched perfect with the novel everyone seemed to be reading a few years back. Jack Salmon (Mark Walberg) the father of Susie Salmon played an excellent role. The man does a very good job of showing his love for his daughter and the agony of the unknown. The characters througout his movie were outstanding, very well matched.

It is always a challenge for directors to put in every detail in a book onto a screen. Infact is it even possible? It was a dissapointment however, to compare this Peter Jackson's famous work in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, to his O.K work given in Lovely Bones. It is taken into consideration that one who has not read this book may enjoy this movie more so than someone who has read the book. Scenes in the movie seem to jump around when comparing the book. As well as some important scenes cut out. A major flaw within this movie was the relationships formed and failed within Susie's family and friends. These connections are important to see in order to make this story more real.

As an overal opinon of this story, Peter Jackson shows an O.K attempt to create this novel a film. A dissapointment towards what the movie could have been however. Peter Jackson, gives of a negative effect of doing a good job forming this movies imaginary appearence. Unfortuently this gives off an unrealistic view.

I would give this movie a 5/10.

Where's the line?

Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom, is a bill of rights guaranteeing Freedom of expression. Expression such as thought, belief, and opinions. It is said however, to be illegal to publicly incite hatred against people based on their colour, race, religion, ethnic origins, and sexual orientation, except where the statements made are true or are made in good faith.

"How far is too far," we all ask ourselves. Ann Coulter is her name. American conservative social and political commentator. On a Canadian-University Tour, Ann Coulter makes her visit at the University of Ottawa. Where she cancels her own speech, due to organizers predicting the situation was unsafe. Ms. Coulter has said, she has given more than 100 speaches in schools and this was the first time anything like this has ever happened.

"It is an absolute bush league, bottom of the barrel schools that you get the worst treatment and yet still I have never seen this before," remarked Coulter.

Ann Coulter was warned before hand to watch what she said. Who's to blame however? Ann Coulter has written 7 novels as well as many weekly newspaper columns. The University of Ottawa had to know what's coming. Ann Coulter speaks her opinion. Why is it that this women's speeches get so blown out of proportion due to her beliefs. University of Ottawa had a choice to decide weather or not they wanted her. If you have something against Ann Coulter, dont come. If you disagree with Ann Coulter, guess what? You can.

All's Fair in Love and War

I was in the local ice cream parlor down town, when I caught my eye on a fine number. He had a face only a mother could love. Not to mention he was dressed to the nines!I tell ya, if looks could kill. I was in seventh heaven, and holding back the wild butterflies in my stomach. They say oposites attract and this man was surely my oposite! Never say never I thought. After all, I`d been looking for love as if I was looking for a needle in a haystack. Let`s just say very picky! He approached me looking like the cat who ate the canary. Boy oh boy, he was one smooth operator. In a nutshell, he was everything! Defiantly more than the cats meow! I finally decided that its not wheather you win or lose it`s how you play the game, and sometimes you just got to let your hair down. I`ve been unlucky in cards, but lucky in love so I hoped on the bandwagon. Love is blind, but I knew this man was right up my alley. I don`t mean to sound so cliche but they do say it`s not over til the fat lady sings, and I hear a Mozart concerteo!

Gone with the Wind

I heard a gunshot fire, as I glanced out the window of the saloon. A women screamed in horror. A chiseled image of a man appeared from the corner of an alley way. From far away my observation was that this man was in need of a shower. He walked with a sense confidence and purpose, however. As he got closer, I could see the creases that fell from his forehead. They reminded me of thick black lines of drawn ink. His eyebrows rose to a peak like the tip of Mount Kilmanjaro. His skin shawn with depth. It almost looked like the style of a old, worn out leather jacket. So much story, so much character. I attempted to read his expression, like he was a well written novel. The sun was begining to set as the man stopped in the middle of the road. He looked over at me and winked. There was something about it I found so intriguing, and at that very moment a black stalion came galuping towards this intense man, and he was gone.
